History

Settled in the 1830s

The original farm that existed on the property was first settled by the pioneer Moncrieff family in the 1830s. The building that later became La Grange was constructed in 1898 as the main barn on the McClinton family farm. In the late 1970’s, the barn was purchased by Cecile and Fern Bouchard and transformed into an incredible post-and-beam mansion by local builder Oswald Koch. In 2001, Pierre Boissonneault purchased the building and spent 2 years renovating it to create a charming B&B.
