HISTORY

The original farm that existed on the property was first settled by the pioneer Moncrieff famiy in the 1830s.  The building that later became La Grange was constructed in 1898 as the main barn on the McClinton family farm.  In the late 1970’s, the barn was purchased by Cecile and Fern Bouchard and transformed into an incredible post-and-beam mansion by local builder Oswald Koch.  In 2001, Pierre Boissonneault  purchased the building and spent 2 years renovating it to create a charming B&B.  Adam Shapero and Sari Kline took over the building in 2004, and added the yoga studio to complete the creation of La Grange, a spectacular four-star B&B and yoga studio, with all the modern conveniences of the 21st century.  Chris and Jessica St. John purchased La Grange in 2016 and continue running it as a charming B&B and yoga studio.
